Transportation Revolving Fund (SB 1350) and Transportation Finance Zone (SJR 18) Hearing on 3/26/09
Sorry for the late notice- the Senate Finance Committee will hear a couple important transportation bills tomorrow, Thursday, March 26, the hearing begins at 11:00 a.m., or upon adjournment of the Senate.
SB 1350 by Senator John Carona - Relating to the creation, administration, financing, and use of a Texas Transportation Revolving Fund; granting the authority to issue bonds. (5-page analysis here.)
SJR 18 by Senator Steve Ogden - Proposing a constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to permit the Texas Transportation Commission... to designate the area adjacent to a state highway project as a transportation finance zone and dedicating the proceeds of the state sales and use taxes impose in a transportation finance zone to the Texas Mobility Fund for certain purposes.
