Welcome!

Thanks for visiting our new TSRT blog!

We've created this blog to serve as a resource to learn about what's going on with Texas' transportation policies and build a community of transportation supporters to discuss, debate and develop new and innovative transportation ideas.

Transportation affects all of us as we travel to work, meetings, community activities, and home to spend time with our families. But everyday Texans sit in traffic wasting time, money and productivity because road building hasn't kept pace with our booming population.

Because of our great size, Texas has more miles of roadway than any other state, but we have reached a critical point in being able to pay for maintenance and new construction through traditional methods like motor fuels tax revenues. As road users we must all work together with our local and state lawmakers to ensure Texas has the tools it needs to pay for new roads.

At the end of the day, we all want the same thing: safer, more reliable transportation.
